Why our TikTok downloads have no watermark
Here is the part we can describe because we built it. When you paste a TikTok link, VidKeep doesn't touch the version you'd get from the app's Save video button — the one with the logo dancing around and the username stamped in the corner. That stamped file is a re-render TikTok makes on the fly for sharing to other apps. We ignore it completely.
Instead we ask TikTok's own media endpoint (through the TikWM service) for the underlying post.
