How to report material you own that is being copied through VidKeep.

Our position

VidKeep hosts no library. It does not store, index or publish media; it reads a link a user supplies and passes the file through. Where a file has to be merged, it exists on our server for the seconds it takes to send it, then it is deleted.

That said, a tool can be misused, and we do not want ours used to redistribute your work.

Where to send a notice

Copyright complaints go to [email protected]. A postal address is provided on request to rights holders and to authorities.

Sending a notice

Write to [email protected] and include the elements § 512(c)(3) requires:

identification of the work you own
the specific link or material being copied
your contact details — address, telephone and email
a statement that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them
a statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law
a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act
your physical or electronic signature

We answer notices in the order they arrive. Where the report identifies material we can act on, we block it from being processed.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the access of repeat infringers. In practice a licence key is the only thing we can act on — there are no accounts — so a key used to infringe repeatedly is revoked without refund, and we keep a record of the notices that led to it. This policy is applied, not merely published.

Counter-notice
