Twitter Video Downloader
Save a video from Twitter or X as one MP4 file, sound included. Paste the tweet link and keep it.
By using VidKeep you accept the Terms and confirm you have the right to keep the file.
We keep no links and no files. Everything is deleted right after the download.
How to download a Twitter video
Copy the tweet link
Tap Share on the post and choose “Copy link”. Both twitter.com and x.com links work — the site was renamed, the links still lead to the same place.
Paste it above
VidKeep reads the tweet and shows the qualities the video was uploaded in, usually 720p and 360p.
Save it
Pick a quality and the MP4 downloads to your phone or computer.
What VidKeep can’t do with Twitter
Protected accounts
Tweets from accounts set to “protected” need a login, so they stay closed.
Deleted tweets
Once a tweet is gone, the video is gone with it — there is nothing left to fetch.
Live broadcasts in progress
A running broadcast has no finished file yet. Wait until it is published as an ordinary post.
Twitter downloader — questions
Does the file come with sound?
Yes, and without an extra step. Twitter stores most video as a single stream that already carries its audio, so the file you get is complete the moment it arrives — there is nothing to merge and nothing to convert afterwards. That is why a tweet usually downloads in seconds rather than minutes: the work is a transfer, not a rebuild. You do not need the X app, an account, or a browser extension for any of this; the tweet link is the whole input. The exception is video that was never public to begin with — posts from protected accounts stay closed, because reaching them would mean logging in as someone, and VidKeep never asks for your credentials or uses them on your behalf.
Which qualities can I get?
Whatever the author uploaded — commonly 720p and 360p. Twitter re-encodes uploads, so a clip filmed in 4K is still served at the resolution Twitter kept.
Do twitter.com and x.com links both work?
Yes. The site changed its name, not its addresses — old and new links point to the same tweet and both are accepted.
Can I save video from a protected account?
No. Only public tweets can be saved. Protected accounts require a login, and VidKeep never asks for your account.
Do I need to install anything?
No — it runs in your browser, on phone and desktop alike. No app, no extension, no account.
